Nicole spills the beans about her childhood affinity for a beanbag, which prompts Wolfgang and Mer to go back in time to similar discoveries. We hear about Nicole’s season of saying yes and how it led to her landing her dream job AND getting a fat rock from her dream girl. The gang discusses engagement timelines, alternatives to the question “what do you do for work?”, and who of us wants more friends…and who doesn’t.

So she's like herding me over to this like beautiful tree, but there's a camera set up and I'm like, okay, definitely someone's getting married there, so like we cannot go over there. And she's like, Like she's freaking out. And I'm like, okay, this is happening. Like something's happening.
SPEAKER_00We need to look at the night sky.
SPEAKER_04Be prepared to sink and feel in.
SPEAKER_00There are no knowing what's out there.
SPEAKER_04Go under the covers and masturbate together. Totally not sexually at all. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You just happen to be adjacent to each other because at that age and you do stuff adjacent to each other. What?
SPEAKER_03Are you being sarcastic?
SPEAKER_05No, no, no, no. I'm like, when you're like seven, you just do shit with people around you because that's just like what life life is, you know?
SPEAKER_04And you don't know that it's weird. My aunt, like, I just have this vivid image of her like ripping the covers up and being like, what is happening? Like my family totally shamed like masturbation as a kid.
SPEAKER_03But it's like we all touch our shit when we're little. And also every other age. Yeah. Please. Yeah, I remember having to hide it from my family because actually a lot of my dreams still are me trying to masturbate and one of my family members is about to walk in the room. I actually am still dreaming that like once or twice a month. I'm like, just get some privacy.
SPEAKER_04Did anybody ever catch you as a child and have you had a yeah? Was it a shaming experience? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I had a beanbag as a child that was like my masturbation beanbag. But it was like in the living room. Masturbeaner. My masturbeaner. And I would like literally ride this beanbag.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
unknownAs a kid.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And my dad would always go, okay, Nicole. It's time to go to your room.
SPEAKER_03Honestly, that's pretty sweet.
SPEAKER_05That's like a pretty sweet response.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Instead of like, hey, stop it. That's don't, we don't do that.
SPEAKER_04You know? And then I remember we were watching um, what's that? Movie with the guy from holes, and it's like action. Anyways, we were watching a movie, and the guy from something about okay. With Megan Fox.
SPEAKER_03Oh, Transformers.
SPEAKER_04Transformers. We were watching Transformers and Did you pop a boner? He said something, well, sorta. Well, for Megan, but obviously.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, not for the robot.
SPEAKER_04No. But we were watching it and he goes, Yeah, like something masturbation. And I asked my dad, I was like, what is masturbation? And he goes, That's what you do to the beanbag.
SPEAKER_03So wait, you could talk about it in your family a little bit.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like my dad tried not to shame me, but still it was like this thing that they were like really weirded out by that.
SPEAKER_03My parents would not have been able to respond like that, actually. Wow. So that's better than I got. Alright, I'll take it. Yeah. Nice. Finally, you got a name for what you love.
SPEAKER_05Like, oh my god, you've been keeping this idea from me.
SPEAKER_03That's hilarious. I was like, what?
SPEAKER_05Oh god, when I was a kid, I like knew about the idea of blowjobs, but I didn't know what they were.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So someone like blows on you?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that was my understanding.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_05Obviously.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like the concept wasn't fully.
SPEAKER_05I don't know what it meant. I just like knew the at knew the word and like knew that it was somehow dick related, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And so like there's a couple times when I'm like probably like 11 or 12, and I get out of the shower and I'm like, I get the hairdryer, and I'm just like blowing the hair dryer out. And I'm like, I don't really get the appeal. This isn't really doing it for me.
SPEAKER_04Oh. When you had your first one, were you like, wow, I was wrong?
SPEAKER_05No. I was not into blowjobs for a really long time.
SPEAKER_04What what did it just not feel good?
SPEAKER_05It didn't really do it for me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I didn't like being licked, uh, eaten out. I don't like that term. Um being going down upon yst.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Upon I didn't used to like that until I just a feeling of like vulnerability. That felt me out. It grossed you out.
SPEAKER_03Like fucking gross. Yeah. And now with Jacob, I'm like, yes.
SPEAKER_04Did you feel that about penises?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. I like those. Oh, interesting. I love them. Interesting. Oh, I love them. Balls. Wow. I I think they're fun. I like them.
SPEAKER_04You okay? They're they are fun. They're fun to wiggle around and pull the things.
SPEAKER_03Like shh put them in your mouth.
SPEAKER_04I don't know about putting it in your mouth.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I love them.
SPEAKER_04Wow, you're freaking. Yeah, you're freaking. Not in that way. Have you ever had balls dipped in breast milk? I haven't.
SPEAKER_05That's a crossover kick.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that might work for me. In the backseat of a Jeep.
SPEAKER_05No, we're bringing up the case.
SPEAKER_04That's where we're crossing. Yeah, we're crossing.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Welcome back to the Wonder Pod. We are here with Nicole. Whoa. Okay, Nicole. Yes. You're saying yes to as much as you can right now. Tell us about what prompted that. The most surprising and positive experience you've discovered. And the most unexpected challenge and consequence. Yeah. This is our only question we have for you, okay? Well. Take us to the playoffs. Let's go big.
SPEAKER_05No pressure.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm feeling the pressure. And also, when I told you that, it was like many weeks ago, and now I'm saying no to a lot of things.
SPEAKER_01So that was a consequence.
SPEAKER_03But yeah. So for okay, I want to hear about that too. Like what when did yes become no, you know? But when what prompted you saying yes to a bunch of things?
SPEAKER_04Well, I moved to Bend in February. I've had a big year this year. This has just been a big year for Nicole. Yeah. Huge. Yeah. And I said yes to a lot of things that have felt like big no's for me in the past. And one of them being marriage, another one being moving. And like making these big life decisions that have felt so debilitating for me for so long.
SPEAKER_05And like debilitating from a commitment standpoint.
SPEAKER_04And just like, yeah, I was just riddled with anxiety about change and just like not able to like just like go down the slide, you know, and just like see what happens.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um and uh yeah, so when I moved here, I set an intention to just like really be open to new experiences and new people and just like try different things and and so was your commitment to say yes even when you were scared?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Or how did you draw the line?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was it's like I think I said to you when you when you asked that question, I said like I'm saying yes to things that feel like a yes in my body, and it's like that's the that's that's it.
SPEAKER_03Whereas before you would have said no even when it felt like a yes. Yeah, because I was too scared. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I gotcha.
SPEAKER_04Control.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So you started that when you moved to Bend, yeah, that was one of my intentions for starting this new chapter in life.
SPEAKER_03What were you hoping to gain from it?
SPEAKER_04I mean just like new experiences and also like re-kind of like I think I lost touch with my brave, like kind of more open-hearted self in this last phase of life that I had and like really allowed anxiety to like kind of you know grab me and pull me under. And so I I wanted to just like be brave and like try things and remember that like bold, like fiery side of myself.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I remember when I first heard you talking about this. Um, I think someone had just invited you on a big run or something, or a big hike, or a bike ride the next day, and you were scared, but I heard you say yes anyway, and you're like, I don't know how I'm gonna do it. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04How'd it go? Wait, this is hilarious because this this is your friends that invited me on this run. And they were like, Yeah, we usually do like four miles, and we're you know, we're like, they were training for a tryout. Yeah, these people are not b uh bench warmers. This is not casual. No, and they're like, Yeah, she at least goes, Yeah, we start at like 6 30. I'm like, oh great, P.M. Lovely. I like I'm off work at the time. After work. And she goes, no, no, no, like in the morning, and we meet at six. And then we plunge in the room. And then we cold plunge in the middle of winter and hold it for like five minutes. Yeah, but then we go get treats afterwards. I'm like, okay, fuck you guys. But I, you know what I did? Okay, fuck you guys. I dragged my friend out there and I was like, we're gonna practice run this bitch because I want to be friends with these people, but I don't I don't want to be that bless you. Thank you. I don't want to be that person that's like, you know, go on with that.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04So we ran and I literally made it a mile and a half, and I was like, I'm done.
SPEAKER_03You know what?
SPEAKER_04Running is not my jam.
SPEAKER_03In my body, a mile and a half would be quite a success. It was a success. So it was.
SPEAKER_04So nice.
SPEAKER_03So you ended up not doing it.
SPEAKER_05I have not doing the running. You did do it. That's the thing. You did it.
SPEAKER_04But just not with those people on the day that they did the practice run. Okay, the practice run.
SPEAKER_03Got a mile and a half and then was like, I will not be doing this for four miles.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'll make friends with them some other way.
SPEAKER_03Okay. By saying yes and then doing the practice round, did you run farther than you would have normally?
SPEAKER_04Definitely. Love it. Yes. But then we found a baby duckling that didn't have a mom. I know. It was all by itself. And then I tried to save it, and then it literally to get away from me, cross this is like a big the size less than the size of my palm. Baby duckling. It crossed the Deschutes River in like definitely a class one rapid. It was like getting thrashed and it crossed to the other side. So that was became our goal.
SPEAKER_05So we chased down You crossed the river after it?
SPEAKER_03You swam in the river in the winter? It was like spring. How was that?
SPEAKER_04We didn't save her.
SPEAKER_03But we had she didn't need you to save her. That's kind of what I'm picking up on. She crossed a river.
SPEAKER_04She was definitely like going to be food for something. Oh. And that was her trajectory. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. You know what? Back to the earth.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_04I had to to that's what I had to tell myself to sleep at night. Oh, you were sad. I really wanted to save her.
unknownFuck.
SPEAKER_04It was fluffy stale. Oh it didn't have any feathers.
SPEAKER_03No beard whiskers yet. Sad. Anyways.
SPEAKER_05Alrighty. Yeah. The hawks gotta eat, you know.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so what was the most unexpected and surprising thing that happened in your saying yes phase?
SPEAKER_04Probably me being on this podcast.
SPEAKER_03If I had asked you yesterday, would you have said no? Yeah.
SPEAKER_04No, I really wanted to stretch myself and do this.
SPEAKER_03I actually think the biggest wait, what was your original question? What was the most surprising or unexpected thing about saying yes?
SPEAKER_04Getting this new job and like taking this big new job.
SPEAKER_03So previously you would have not even tried. I wouldn't even have applied for the job. Nicole, I'm really proud of you.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Like major growth.
SPEAKER_03I know. And you want to say what the job is?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I just got my dream job at the Nature Conservancy working for the freshwater department, um, helping with their development operations work. So I'm really excited. It's your dream job. It is. It totally is like TNC is where I've always wanted to end up. Okay. And like really dig into that work. So I'm really excited.
SPEAKER_05I want to know what where the moment was where you were like, oh, I need to say yes less. How that felt, and kind of like how you've been evaluating, like re-evaluating the balance now that you're like, okay, we gotta re- we gotta re-recalibrate a little bit.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's a good question. Last year. I was wondering if that was the mic.
SPEAKER_05That's the ice cream truck.
SPEAKER_04If they live out here, yeah.
SPEAKER_05It's very popular.
SPEAKER_04We're in the woods.
SPEAKER_05We're in the woods.
SPEAKER_04They found us. It kind of sounds a little fucked up, doesn't it? Everything out here is a little fucked up. It sounds like not on tune.
SPEAKER_05He's trying his best.
SPEAKER_03Should we take a little break? To get some ice cream? Yeah. I don't want any. Do you want some? No, I'm good.
SPEAKER_05Definitely not. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Who suggested that?
SPEAKER_04That is stupid. Um anyway. Yeah, so last year I decided that I was like gonna get better at planning. That was like my big goal because I just felt like life was passing me by. And these big opportunities were just like, I was just dropping the ball. I wasn't planning things, I wasn't seeing like old friends, and I just was sort of like, I need to like really take life by the boobs. Grab it, grab it by the boobs, yeah, and just like then dig in. That's gonna be the title for this podcast.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04By the boobs. By the boobs, yeah. Um, and so that was like my big goal for this year, and I have successfully done that. Nice. I'm really good at planning now. I have a planner.
SPEAKER_03How did you become a planner?
SPEAKER_04Oh, I literally taught myself how to plan. I'm so ADHD, it's insane. Planning has never been something I can do. And I set the goal and I was like, I'm gonna get good at planning. I bought this like really awesome planner that kind of helps you scaffold like planning and goals. Scaffold. Nice. Thank you. It's corporate lingo. Um, and yeah, I'm just like really digging into the planning thing, but then I accidentally like majorly overplanned this year.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like not a lot of wiggle room and breathing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Like I didn't even leave time for like the work week. It's just been insane. And so now I'm like, I need to really scale it back. Really scale it back on the S's. Yeah, way overshot. That's hilarious. Way overshot. But I mean, it's like it's how it goes. Yeah. And what's funny?
SPEAKER_05Especially when it's a new thing. It's like you're you're gonna oscillate back and forth a little bit until you find where the comfortable zone is.
SPEAKER_03Exactly. In our friend group, we refer to the person who's planning an upcoming event as Nicole. And it's not because of you. It's just a coincidence. Really? Yeah. Like for the camping, uh, for the what is it? Um the summer camp. Summer camp for adults. Yeah. For adults. Elise's Nicole. Meaning Elise is planning it.
SPEAKER_04I feel like we're gonna need to change that because I'm like, I am infiltrating this group, this friendship group, and I don't want to plan everything.
SPEAKER_03That's not what's gonna happen. Nicole, we're really sorry, but um, we're all gonna take the backseat now that you're here. Yeah, we're gonna need a new name.
SPEAKER_04Frederick?
SPEAKER_03Um, it needs to be like more like Nicole.
SPEAKER_04Natalie?
SPEAKER_05Um, that's no, Natalie is not a planner for sure.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Natalie could totally be a planner. She sounds like she has a ponytail. No ponytail. What about it?
SPEAKER_05I feel like Maybe Carl.
SPEAKER_03This is all wrong. Nick. Not as fun. I don't like it. Nicole like has her shit together. She knows what's going on. This isn't you, though.
SPEAKER_01Wow.
SPEAKER_03This isn't you.
SPEAKER_05Aspiration.
SPEAKER_03This is pre-Nicole Nicole.
SPEAKER_04How did how did we choose Nicole? Because that's such a good, fabulous name.
SPEAKER_03I know, right? Something about it. Yeah, it just like rolls right off the tongue. It happened last year when we were planning out our summer events. Wow. Elise and I came up with it, I think. Well, we're gonna need to change that. Anyway, so okay. Um, and now you're saying no, and how does that feel? Well, I haven't said no yet.
SPEAKER_04It's it's gonna it's coming. Yeah, it's coming.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Well, you said yes when your fiance asked you to marry her. I did say yes to that. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04But to be fair, I asked first. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, let me see your ring!
SPEAKER_05I've been waiting. I've been waiting since I met you.
SPEAKER_04I'm obsessed with it.
SPEAKER_05That's so unique.
SPEAKER_04This is a really fun story too, because my grandmother, I had family juice. My grandmother was like, hey, I have extra, like, I have these diamonds that you can like, you know, they're yours for when you're ready. And I was like, okay, I don't fuck diamonds. I was like in high school. I don't know. Who knows who understands what a diamond is? I don't know.
SPEAKER_03So right, exactly.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So she but then when I told my mom I was gonna propose to Crystal, she was like, Oh, you have these jewels, let's like look at them. And we have these families, and then there were two of these, these little baguettes and baguettes, but they're called tapered baguettes. Okay, if anybody is privy with diamonds, and so I was like, Let's make matching rings. Oh, you have matching rings, sort of. So I designed her Chris's to be more like a little more mask and like it's a little different than mine, and mine is a bit more like thin. Feminine, yeah. But we have the same diamond, which is kind of fun.
SPEAKER_03So, how did you um how do you design a ring?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I just like did a bunch of research and brought a bunch of inspiration pictures to the jeweler, and I was like, I want you to take this diamond out of this ring and put it into this sort of looking vibe.
SPEAKER_05Wow. Yeah, that seems fun.
SPEAKER_04It was fun, although it's like kind of stressful because you're you have this idea and then they can't see the idea. So there's like many iterations.
SPEAKER_01Sure, sure.
SPEAKER_04It's like getting a tattoo. Yeah, I think if I were to do it again, I would not have done this, but it's really cute in theory. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And in practice, right? I mean it ended up cute.
SPEAKER_03It did it, yeah. They ended up really nice. But so Lauren, I just talked to Lauren recently, and she said that whoever proposed recently, Chris, right? Yeah, it was a funny story, and she said to ask you about that.
SPEAKER_04Love it. Well, seems like he's like, Some of us thought it was funny, I guess. Yeah, so okay, the story of the proposal. I had proposed to Chris in February, and I've been pestering her.
SPEAKER_03And I've been pestering her for you.
SPEAKER_04Thank you. Because somebody else needs like we need to put the pressure.
SPEAKER_03She needs her fat rock.
SPEAKER_04I need my tiny rock. And so I was pestering and pestering, and I thought it was coming this July when we're going to Europe to hike the Mont Blanc Trail. I was like convinced. I literally was like fully.
SPEAKER_03That was the plan, right? It was in the calendar locked and loaded.
SPEAKER_04I I I thought for sure it would be this. But I guess somewhere along the line I said that I'd want my mom and sister to be there because somewhere I said that. Sure. And so she heard that. Oh. And I was in Savannah, Georgia for a work conference for a week. And then my sister and mom drove down from North Carolina to like meet me and have a girls' weekend. And I had literally no freaking clue. Like, I was not even sensing this at all. And then um my mom and sister are like, okay, here's the itinerary, and they were like putting in all this energy into this trip. And I'm like, okay, weird. Why are they putting so much thought and energy into this trip?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like there's only one Nicole step off.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And my yeah, my sister like made a full itinerary, and I like, I don't know, it was just like a lot. Like laminated. Yeah. And then I get there and they're like, okay, we're gonna go like go to this um picnic, and like everybody needs to get dressed up, and it's at this very particular place at this very particular time. And I was like, okay, like this is fucking weird. And then they're like bringing champagne and roses, and I was like starting to get a I was like, okay, something's happening. And then we get to this farm, and I'm like, oh, so cool. There's like all these ponds and there's alligators. Did you guys know there's alligators in Georgia? No, super cool. They're really, it's really fun, really great stuff. Go swimming, don't. So I was like looking at the alligators and like, oh, it's so cool. And my sister's like, we should just go right over there right now. And I'm like, oh just a picnic, you know, we're chilling. Yeah, we're chilling. But she's like, it's also like 95 degrees and like 99.9% humidity. Like it is fucking hot in Georgia. Yeah. And so she's like herding me over to this like beautiful tree, but there's a camera setup. And I'm like, okay, definitely someone's getting married there. So like we cannot go over there. And she's like, like she's freaking out. And I'm like, okay, this is happening. Like something's happening. Oh my god. And then all of a sudden, Crystal crawls out from behind the tree, like a little heathen. Like she's literally like hair crawling out from behind the tree. And she is drenched in sweat. Like she gets to me, and she's literally like pouring down her face. She's wearing these like really see-through clothes. And you just like she's fucking drenched. She's been waiting there for a while, right?
SPEAKER_03And you didn't know she'd be there?
SPEAKER_04I know I didn't know. So I didn't know she'd be there.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_04And um, I'm like, what are I at that point? I knew what was happening, and I wouldn't let her like say the words out loud. I was just like, what are you doing? I'm just screaming at the room. And then I ripped the ring out of her hands and you know, the whole thing. So it was good.
SPEAKER_03She didn't even get a chance to ask you?
SPEAKER_04No, I didn't let her finish her script. I was just like, give me the fucking ring.
SPEAKER_03You're late. Yeah. How does it feel to have your ring on?
SPEAKER_04It feels really good. I love it.
SPEAKER_03Is it like super heavy?
SPEAKER_04No, it's a tiny, okay. It's a tiny diamond.
SPEAKER_03How many carls?
SPEAKER_04I don't know. Small.
SPEAKER_03Well, congratulations. But I love it. Yeah. What is life like now that you are double engaged?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03Are you sure? Because now you have a ring.
SPEAKER_04I mean, it's like really sweet to feel it like to be in the engagement, you know, phase of life.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Um, but now everybody's like, when are you getting married?
SPEAKER_03Bitches and hoes, am I right?
SPEAKER_04Literally, like, it's every When are you getting married? Undetermined.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03There's no no idea.
SPEAKER_04No rush.
SPEAKER_03No rush. Oh, and you you said you would you would not mind being engaged for years. Yeah. I would. You would mind? Yeah, like let's do it.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay. Would you rather no engagement?
SPEAKER_03Whoa, I didn't know that was legal. I don't know. Not necessarily Well, I'm not interested in getting married, but if I were to be interested in getting married, I would want the engagement to be no more than six months.
SPEAKER_04So you don't want to get married at all?
SPEAKER_03At this point, no. I don't have I don't have any feelings of interest in that.
SPEAKER_04So if you were like, I want to be your life partner forever.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05You just don't need to put it, you don't need to put it on a piece of paper. Right. Yeah. Would you get rings?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I don't want to ring. I don't want a ring. That makes it. Too tied down.
SPEAKER_04See, I've had I had this exact same response to marriage for so long.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You were talking about that.
SPEAKER_04It's still weird. It's weird. It's a weird societal construct.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, there's a lot of tradition around it that does not appeal to me in the slightest. Especially like the actual wedding and all of that. And obviously you can do it however you want, for sure.
SPEAKER_05You could just do you and three of your best friends.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But then you realize once And maybe the person I'm marrying.
SPEAKER_05Maybe.
SPEAKER_04Maybe them. Or just send them like a postcard. A memo. Send them the invoice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We don't know. That's a good idea.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but then like what I feel like once we've gotten engaged, or like, you know, we have we're in that phase, every there's society is like creeping in, waiting to like make it be what it's supposed to be.
SPEAKER_03And then after you get married, it'll be like, so are you having kids? When are you having kids? When are you having kids?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and I realize like that's how everybody we're not we are not all designed to like fit into the mold, but we're just like so. That's why I I've stopped trying to ask people like, what do you do for work?
SPEAKER_05Or like Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'm trying to ask people, what are you curious about? Yeah. Or like, what are what's what are you having fun with? I don't know, just like different shit.
SPEAKER_04You can get to know people without asking them these like really targeted brand. Yeah, rigid questions. It's just like that's not what I I don't need to know that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I asked I met a new person reluctantly. I'm not really into strangers right now, but I met a new person in the past week. And we were like shooting the shit, and then they were like, So what do you do for work? And I just felt disappointed.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you were like, God.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I I love what I do, but I don't know. We were talking about like uh uh like unexpected topics before that, and then it just we went into the unexpected, and I was like, this isn't as fun. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So why are you not feeling into strangers right now?
SPEAKER_03Well, my brother thinks it's because I was in an exploratory phase before this, and needed to I was looking for some answers, some clarity just in general in life and about myself. And now that I have more answers, more clarity, I'm not needing to like seek it out more and I can just enjoy what I found.
SPEAKER_04Very good observation.
SPEAKER_03And I agree. Interesting. Yeah, I'm like a hanging out with my friends, maybe. Maybe.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that makes sense.
SPEAKER_03I just like hanging out with my friends. I really like you guys. Like I really, really, really, really like you guys. That's why you're my friend. For yeah, and I and I don't feel interested, and this isn't to offend anybody or to make me feel like I have, you know, the biggest butt on the block or anything, but you do have a big butt.
SPEAKER_04I do, I do, I do have on this block, probably. Yeah. Yeah. It's a bubble.
SPEAKER_03I don't feel interest in making new friends. That's so fair. I'm like at all.
SPEAKER_04Really trying to make new friends.
SPEAKER_03You can have all of mine. We can share all of mine. You'll like all of them. I well, you never know. If you never try. If you never try, another no. You can have them. Have them. Take them.
SPEAKER_04I would love that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I have I have a lot of really high quality friends. I just have my roster is full. I'm quoting someone. I heard someone say that this week.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03My roster is full. And I'm very grateful. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I had I heard someone described as I'm open to new acquaintances, but not really new friends.
SPEAKER_03What were you there in that conversation?
SPEAKER_05No, different.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Are you feeling that way as well?
SPEAKER_05Uh he needs artist friends. I need artist friends. Allow me to speak for you. Thank you. Um right now I have so many personal projects going on that it's kind of like hard to think about. Like even maintaining my current friendships feels like a lot of work right now. Um but before, like back in the late winter. I feel like I was looking for I was open to new friends.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_05And I think probably in the late summer, early fall, I will be open again.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_04I do feel like that kind of happens. Like summer is crazy, and then like winter, we're all like, let's get together.
SPEAKER_03Call each other. Yeah. Eat soup while while you watch each other.
SPEAKER_05It's dark inside here a little bit in the winter. Like it's cool. It's cool. It's the snow.
SPEAKER_03It's sunny. It's sunny, actually.
SPEAKER_05I mean, it depends what your baseline is, I guess.
SPEAKER_03But okay, while Alaska. Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05The sun doesn't shine for six months there. Yeah. So it's better than that. But it's still dark. I mean, it's, you know, the sun goes down at like four o'clock.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Well.
SPEAKER_03Thank you for your time.
SPEAKER_05Thanks for being on the show.
SPEAKER_03Thanks for being great. Thanks for having me. I love you guys. I love you. Love you too. So that's it.
SPEAKER_05That's it. That's all we're doing now.
